Who We Are
The Dozie Owerri Association (DOA), Abuja Chapter, is a socio-cultural organisation that brings together indigenes of Owerri resident in Abuja. The association is committed to the welfare, unity, and development of its members and their home communities — Owerri North, Owerri West, Owerri Municipal, and Ngor Okpala.
Our Mission
To foster unity, mutual support, and development among Owerri indigenes in Abuja, and to give back to our home communities through initiatives that improve welfare and opportunity — including education.
The Scholarship Initiative
Recognising that financial hardship remains one of the biggest barriers to education for many indigent but qualified students, DOA established the Scholarship Scheme to provide financial assistance to deserving students from our LGAs who have gained admission into government or public tertiary institutions but lack the means to fund their education.
