The DOA Scholarship Scheme supports qualified but financially disadvantaged students from Owerri North, Owerri West, Owerri Municipal, and Ngor Okpala in pursuing tertiary education.
Scholarship Objectives
The DOA Scholarship Scheme exists to remove financial barriers to education and reward academic diligence among our indigenes.
Relieve Financial Hardship
Provide direct support to households unable to fully fund tertiary education.
Reward Academic Merit
Recognise students with strong academic credentials and genuine need.
Strengthen the Community
Build a generation of educated indigenes able to give back to Owerri.
Eligibility Overview
Verifiable indigene of Owerri North, Owerri West, Owerri Municipal, or Ngor Okpala
Valid admission letter from a government or public institution
Required SSCE / WAEC / GCE credits obtained
Aged between 16 and 25 years
